Visitors will be delighted to discover the 15th century St. Mary's Church and the timber Market Cross. At the museum you will find a replica of the 'Mildenhall Treasure' which was found in about 1942 near West Row.

Merry Mildenhall 2017- a wonderful time was had by all!

Message from the event manager, Cllr Ruth Bowman:

“Many people said how much they enjoyed the night.

The organisation of the market stalls was great, the logistics of the event worked so well, Father Christmas made the Grotto shine and the new Parish Council gazebo was a great operations centre.

It even snowed!!

A massive thank you for all the hard work that went into today’s event. It would not have been possible without such a brilliant team effort.”

Message from Mildenhall Parish Council Chairman, Cllr Richard Greenfield:

“May I put on record my grateful thanks and congratulations for the great success that was this year's Merry Mildenhall?  This is, of course due to the hard work and commitment of the Core Team (led by Ruth Bowman) over many months of preparation, and the others who turned out on the day to lend valuable support. That this successful event was achieved almost solely by Councillors and Parish Workers is remarkable.

Of course, the weather, and a working snow machine, helped to make things even better.

It was clear to me that the public who attended enjoyed themselves, I hope, too, that the traders and stall-holders felt it a worthwhile event and will want to participate again.

Once again, thanks, and well done!”
